right on my old config of 2.33 dual core, 2GB ram, 8800m GTX i got about 9,200 i just ran it again with my upgrades of q6600, 3GB ram, 8800m GTX and i got wait for it.......... 7613

    results:

    3DMark Score 7613 3DMarks
    SM 2.0 Score 3156
    SM 3.0 Score 3347
    CPU Score 2240

now i wasnt expecting amazing scores, but to get nearly 2,000 points less then i did with my older specs i wasnt expecting this.

any idea whats going on? during the second test ( i think) the one with the alien landscape i was getting 0 FPS, maxing out at an incrediable 1FPS - could this be the reason? how do i fix it?

read the drivers page in the gaming section.....updating drivers is easy:
    1. go to laptopvideo2go.com and download latest drivers for your windows version
2.extract the driver package (remember its location)
3.download modded .inf file from the same website (make sure its the inf for your driver version, each driver download page will have a link to the appropriate inf file)
4.replace inf file in the extracted directory
5.uninstall old drivers from control panel
    6.reboot into safe mode
7.run driver sweeper and delete any old driver files
    8.reboot into safe mode again
9.run the setup.exe file from the extracted driver directory
    10.restart computer
    11.enjoy

    1) go to laptopvideo2go.com
    2) follow the link for the drivers for your os on top right of page
    3) download the drivers and modded inf on the info page
    4) extract the divers
    5) copy/paste modded inf into the divers folder
    5) start autorun

Edit: guess I was a bit late lol

install driver sweeper (after u download it obviously) and when ur in safe mode, just run it and clean the nvidia drivers.

im using the 180.43 driver, and no issues so far....though i dont know how it will be on the 8800 gtx....but u can always roll back drivers if the latest ones dont work

    i'm getting bout 9.5k.. ummm..

the landscape mode thing, it IS supposed to be like that.. 0-1 fps.. because that's a CPU stress test and your GPU isn't supposed to be used much, so that yr cpu's 'score' can be calculated.. so don't worry bout the 2 cpu-tests and the 1fps ;)

yeah it seems as though i wasnt as i just ran it again and got 9,254 - i still think this is a tad low i was expecting to go over the 10,000 mark. maybe updating to visat 64bit and updating the graphics driver might help improve this

^^^Wow thats good..........Me on the otherhand with my new 5793 just cant seem to get my 3dmark06 score above 8700, Ive tried everything i did most of the vista tweaks, With my stock drivers i scored 8675 and when i updated to 178.15 my score went down to 8665. I have the fans on high, the power plan set on high performance as well as nividea's setting.
When I uninstalled the old drivers i didnt run any sweeper and when i went to install the drivers i forgot to do it in safe mode could that have caused a problem?
Please would appreciate any help i can get.

the best i got out of the 9800m gts was 11,115-over clocked & stock was 9500.
    with:
[email protected] ghz running at 3.0 ghz 6 meg cache
    4 gigs ram
    raid0 5400 rpm
    1280x1024 resolution on the screen

edit: but i only had the system for 4 days before returning it...
and the other person higher than me at the time was E-wrecked with an 11,274 using a x9100 slightly down clocked due to tzs0 over heating.

yes it does... your only going to get so high with that 2.4 3 meg cache cpu and you still have to over clock to even get to the mid 10k range.

doesnt really count if it's xp...needs to be vista 32 or higher..xp is a down grade and it doesn't run vantage mark either.

it was to give an idea of what the 9800m gts is capable of doing. with a higher end cpu. and actually the raid really had no bearing on the 3dmark test.
