I'm looking to get an AC Inverter to power my D901C for road trips. Eurocom has the Belkin 300W AC Anywhere Power Inverter as an accessory and I was wondering if anyone here has one and can comment on it. I've read some reviews that said it works great but can be annoyingly loud. I've also been looking at the Tripp Lite 375W Power Invertor as well. Anyone have one of those? I've seen some reviews for it where the sound is loud as well. Btw, I anticipate there will at least be another device plugged into it as well. Since my D901C needs 220W, I'm leaning towards the Tripp Lite product. Any opinions are welcome. Thanks!

I recommend a common travel adapter because the power brick between your laptop and the outlet automatically conditions the power. All you need is a travel adapter.

This is the one I would use if I traveled overseas. Belkin is a great brand and it is at a nice price.

Or you can go to Newegg.com and search for "Network Adapater" and you should be able to find one that fits your needs.

Hmm...I might not have been clear about what I'm looking to use this for. I'm looking to power my D901C when on trips in a car. It needs to plug into a 12V cigarette lighter for power. I'm going down to Florida from St. Louis in the Spring and I'd like to be able to use my lappy. I took a look at your link and I don't think that product will work for me. Thanks for the response though!

I cant say about those inverters, but I have one for my Dell 9100, but it could only reach full power if connected directly to my battery. It was a bit loud, but worth it. They might be able to pull enough from car plug now, I don't know. Also, I had a huge deep cycle marine/rv battery, and my 150w dell would ki8ll it, in about 6 hours car off.

This one may work. It's only 210W but it's smaller than the 300W ones out there. It can peak at 500W for a bit. It *should* work. I was thinking of picking one up myself.

One thing to take note of though that a lot of use through the car is bad on your alternator. It sounds strange but I had my laptop and an external drive (for music for a 6 hour drive) and the dome light was dim with my laptop and drive running and the headlights even got a little weaker. It forces the alternator to work a bit more so it will cause some wear and tear on your vehicle. This isn't a problem for all vehicles but it is something to keep an eye on.
