This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     Hi All,

    I don't know if anyone has discovered this yet, but I think I found a solution to the audio hissing/humming issue with the onboard Realtek audio card in the D901C and M5790RU.

    If you go to Control Panel -> Sound -> then click on "Speakers" and then click on "Properties".

    Once in the properties, click on the "Levels" tab, and then make sure "PC Beep" is muted. This reduced the audio hiss by 80-90% for me!

    I've posted some screenshots showing how to do this. I hope this helps everyone!
