i fixed his.. turned out i was able to re solder it using a small piece or solid core metal wire. works perfect now.. it was the leg where it goes into the board that the solder came loose

Thanks Vedya!! but, that guide is for removing the gpu only!! :( nvm! :) Thanks! :)

Hey guys i got " Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio Notebook" frm DELL USA!! :D

The sound is just AWESOME!!!! :D First time i used it with my earphones and i was literally blown away by the sound quality and a whole lot of 'useful" enhancements!!! (not like dfx! which is crap!)

Then i started Crysis!! and i was like" OMG    "
believe me it was like i was standing right there in the game with surround sound of the wind coming from all around!!! :D
With onboard realtek i had never experienced this!! i'm glad i switched to this express card soundcard!! :)

All the mp3s sounded like 'wow!!!' especially the 'trance' songs and 'Bullet for my valentine' tracks!!! just Awesome!! :D

compared to creative's sound, realtek is ultra cr@p!!! believe me!! :)

I would recommend this soundcard to every NP5793 owner out there as well as for future M570TU nd M860TU users!! Its worth every penny!!

u would never ever regret buying it!! :D

Pics to be added soon!! :D

    Thanks! :)

ill have to see if i can get a pic of it without taking my whole notebook apart since i still may sell it i dont want to tear it down to the mobo since mine is fine. let me see.. when i did his i didnt have any camera nearby so i couldnt take a pic and he was in a hurry and didnt want to wait till the next day for me to have my camera on hand otherwise i was going to do a how to on it. if i can get another one to fix then i can take some pics. i know someone else locally who also has the bad jack so ill see if they will let me fix it for them..

remove the dvd drive and the hdd. i also suggest removing the cpu and ram and if you have it the wifi and robson cards. you need to remove the keyboard, then the lcd, all the bottom screws and then you can split the housing. the motherboard has to actually come out once its opened to get to the top side of it. its really not that hard and as long as you take your time and put all the screws in a small bag and keep everything organized you will be fine taking it apart. heck i didnt have a manual when i did his and i just took my time and went little but little and it wasnt hard.

if for some reason i dont sell mine ill make a guide with it but im not going to take it apart if its being sold. they know they are getting a mint condition system and thats what i will provide..

Sounds a little too much hassle for me, I'll let Sager RMA this , maybe I'll get an upgraded mainboard for it :D

i asked them about that and they said no the one in there will be repaired or it will be replaced with a already refurbished one that has been fixed. i was told specifically that i would not receive the upgraded mobo (when we called about his system i acted like him since he doesn't deal with companies well). they were pretty firm on that issue..

    Well,whichever works.
If I can't get a buyer for my 5791,I'll get them to upgrade to the 8800M GTX and sell the 7950GTX myself...

so in brief the steps are :-

    1. Remove back cover, and the DVD nd Hard Disk Drives!
    2. Remove CPU, RAM, Wi-Fi cards, robson etc.
    3. Remove the keyboard
    4. Remove all the bottom screws.
    5. Remove the LCD from the chassis
    6. and open the housing!
    7. Hopefully the mobo will come out!!

    Is that right zfactor?? :)

    @ eleron911

btw does Rock computers or Eurocom sell 8800m GTX seperately??

the 579x service manual seems to be "uber secret" and no-one has got a copy (except the resellers). It's weird coz the 9262 one is freely available on the eurocom site...

Oh they have it, it's in the passworded section of their site tho. Any eurocom customers want to ask them if they'll give it out?

Smells to me like clevo doesn't want it circulated tho as noone can seem to get hold of it.

Justin/Donald, either of you guys want to chip in here?

hello guys, I'm having the same problem too with my green jack.
I have just plugged a headphone, and the sound was getting softer, and after I plugged off and then plugged it on again, no sound can be heard anymore.
How is sohail's progress going? I'll also start to take a look what sort of problem my green jack has. I tried to press my headphone jack up up down down left right left right (B A Start :p [Contra 30 lives] ) but I could not hear any sound coming out. So, I think I got slightly different problem maybe.
I'm gonna take off the back casing in after a second.

    Hello.
I'v got the same problem as RRuki, no sound even if trying to push the jacks in any direction.
Coud it be a different problem, or the same one, just the jacks ar even more damaged?

This is my second m570ru with a defective audio jack (green). I'll send this one back to tech services one more time. They will (hopefully) change the motherboard again (in about a month!) and I will sit and wait till it fails again (as it did in July).
I've got it since late April and this will be another month without it (do the math). It costed me 2.100 €.
Only thing I can say to anybody that's thinking of buying a Clevo laptop (no matter the reseller), because of it's high specs !!don't risk yourselves!!.
At the time I bought mine, the decision was between a Dell XPS 1730 and the clevo. I went for the Clevo because it was cheaper but now I cannot regret more that decision!
I don't see Dell ignoring the fact that one of their products is failing consistently and not replacing them with a properly working product. Simply they cannot stand that kind of publicity. But this is Clevo, who knows them anyway? (massively I mean) Who will care about a bunch of consumers that are forced to receive over and over a product that is known that it's going to fail.
Well hope my experience serves somebody.

For RRuki and xeroo: firt time it happened, some sound came out of the jack when I moved the plug but this time there's no sound coming out from the jack, period. No noticeable progression, one day sound was gone and that's it.

Both the green and the black jack has crapped on me. Is there any way to re-solder the jacks back on the motherboard? I don't have time to wait 2 weeks for RMA, as I use my laptop for work.
