Yo I have a question about the Sager 8690. A lot of people are talking about underclocking the GPU but I'm wondering if it's possible to undervolt the CPU and the GPU to get more battery life?

I haven't bought it yet but the short battery life is a concern to me.

No way to undervolt the i7 at the moment, as the chip itself manages its voltages.

In addition, the only tool I've seen that works with the ATi 5870 will only alter clocks, not voltages. You could edit the bios of the card, but the risk of bricking it might not be worth the benefit achieved.

If you have a Geforce 260/280/285m, then you are more likely to be successful undervolting with the software available.
