You could buy a replacement/second one! Sorry that doesn't answer the question, but it might target the reason why you wanted an upgraded battery.

The way the battery fits into the bottom of the machine, there really is not a way to fit a larger cell battery. However, you could do as C0nfucius suggested and use a second battery or possibly even an external charging pack.

There is 2 battery for that model :

    6-87-X510S-4J72 BAT.P S LI 14.8V/5.2AH/76.96WH 4S2P CELXPERT/SDI PSE 910500004
    6-87-X510S-4D72 BAT.P S LI 14.8V/5.2AH/76.96WH 4S2P SMP/SDI PSE 980T2025F

Both are 76.96WH, I don't know what is the difference and if this could be called upgrade though!

K thanks. I was just wondering if it was possible due to the short battery life. I don't feel like carrying around a second battery with me though. With my current laptop whenever I am home I always plug it in so it probably won't affect me that much.

That is probably the biggest oversight of this laptop. It is a pretty powerful beast, but I think we've been spoiled with the advent of switchable graphics and Optimus, etc. There's no reason even a laptop like the NP8130/NP8150 can't have 3+ hours battery life. Extra batteries are not convenient by any means either. Constantly having to manage battery levels and recharge, etc. If they offered an external charging unit for a battery, then it wouldn't be nearly as bad. But still 77WHr and 2.5 hours battery life is sad. At least makes me sad :(

If they had Optimus/a bigger battery available, they would be perfect. Ah well...

well they could make it have a sheet battery, if the sheet was only in the front, it would just make the laptop more level.

True, a sheet battery wouldn't be a bad idea either. I still think a modular optical bay would be best though. Throw in a battery instead of optical drive if you need it. It would at least maybe get you another 1-1.5 hours.

yeah but that would require a whole new design for the motherboard, although cheap in production cost. it would also create more profit in the end for clevo.
