I burned the newest BIOS update from the Sager site to a USB stick, and after a couple failed attemps, I got it to boot. Problem: Now its sitting there with:

Its been like this for about 10 minutes, is it safe to restart?
EDIT: Nevermind, it finally crashed and rebooted. Still leaves me not knowing how to update from this ISO though.

Maybe you should have used a dvdrw. Much more stable and safer since the bios is an iso file.
Here hope this helps. It's easy.

You can also do it in Win7 just by right clicking on the .iso file and clicking on "Burn disc image." If that selection is not available, click on "Open with" and select "Windows Disk Image Burner."

Why do you need this BIOS update?

I posted a similar post on this, turns out I was trying the same USB flashing you are. While I was able to get to the flash screen it kept coming up with an error.
I burned a disk an tried flashing with a extracted iso and still no joy, same error.
The only way to get the flash to work right was burn the iso directly to disk.

Edit: Found where I put it, guess I'll have to swap it back in for the update. -
I didn't even notice that in your signature, my bad.
Possibly a bad BIOS flash...
