I've not been getting the scores I was expecting from my Clevo, the best I've ever got is about 8801 (1280x1024).

If you get over 9000 from your single 8800m GTX, could you say what settings, drivers, configuration, etc you're using.

    Thanks.

Score and system in my sig. Using 174.82 driver and Vista 32bit. Havnt overclocked the X9000 yet as dont see the need to do so yet. As my system ages and games get more demanding ill look into OCing further. Could prolly also OC the 8800m GTX quite a bit without problems.

I used to get ~9200 in 3DMark06 with the stock 167.44 driver. Now I get ~8800 with the new 175.63 driver. :(

The 174.xx drivers especially 174.93 sucked hard for me! 174.82 was still okay....

Exactly the same spec as me too (apart from 64-bit Vista and HDD).

This is bizarre, we have practically identical laptops, yet there is a 400 point anomaly

Do not just post total score.

(since many notebooks are using different CPUs)
To really get accurate comparisons, post:
    - SM2.0 Score
    - HDR/SM3.0 Score
    - CPU Score

Then compare the SM2.0 & SM3.0 scores with your own.

Just ran it again using 174.90:

    8748 overall.

    SM2.0: 4022
    SM3.0: 3714
    CPU: 2271

Looks like I am going to have to send it back, I don't want to but it's clearly defective.

Personally, I do not think the system is defective.

If you do decide to send it back....
You dont have to send the entire unit back, just cross-ship a new videocard.

I would contact them first to see if they can give you a new VBIOS for the videocard.

it can't be defective. if it is defective then you are more likely to score 1000 or none at all. obviously this is simply driver/OS related.

System BIOS is 1.00.08, GPU BIOS is 62.92.23.00.14.

Also, GPU-Z reports my GPU as running at 383/301/767 for some reason. Could it be underclocking?

I may also try re-installing Vista.

Well, here is a breakdown of the scores I get with different drivers/overclocks:

    Forceware 167.43

    1280x1024 default settings, all tests

    std------cpu 3200----cpu 3522

    8948------9498--------9916
    4129------4142--------4380
    3936------3961--------3964
    2187------2808--------3100

    Forceware 167.51

    1280x1024 default settings

    cpu 3200---cpu 3522---cpu 3200/gfx 600/1500/800

    9575--------10191---------10523
    4179--------4483----------4732
    3995--------4249----------4416
    2825--------2963----------2899

    Forceware 175.63

    1280x1024 default settings

    3522/550/850---3357/600/900---3365/600/950

    10642-------------10834----------11021
    4735---------------4934-----------5032
    4321---------------4482-----------4573
    3177---------------2987-----------3010

What I find interesting is that 175.63 reduces my overall score by ~300 but increases my cpu score...

I've put Vista 32-bit back on there now with the stock 167.43 drivers, and I'm getting 9100+

This is realy weird, I was using the same OS and drivers before but was only getting 8600, now I've done a fresh install it's running great.

Don't think about it. Vista is weird anyway.
Next time have a bit more patience and only think about RMA as a last resort.

Enjoy your laptop and just be happy about your score ;)

No, I don't. I'm thinking it must of been something to do with drivers, since I installed Vista before I upgraded the RAM and CPU.

I also took extra care to install the drivers in the right order as shown in the manual this time.
