    Hey everyone,

I was looking into helping my brother pick out a laptop. We've been looking around and we've decided that the NP8662 would be the best route to go, with these specs:

My main concern is basically how happy he'll be with the company - with everything from the build quality to customer support. Price for what he's getting is awesome and I have no problems with that, but my main concern is I guess the intangibles that will eventually make or break your experience with a company in the long run.

Lastly, a few questions about the product itself:
-What kind of battery life will this laptop get?
    -How heavy will it be?
-Would the performance/heat/battery drain tradeoff be worth upgrading to a 7200rpm model of the selected hard drive?

    Thanks in advance!

    - Build quality is diamond-level
    - 2hrs
    - ~7lbs.
    - 7200RPM is definitely worth getting

The P8700 isn't worth the $55 over the P8600. Spend it on the faster HDD.

I'll take that into account. One last question I remembered - It's not slated to ship till "Early April." Any chance someone can give me a slightly more narrow time window than that?

contact the vendor for best ETA.

XoticPC and PowerNotebooks have reps here all the time, if you contact them, they can answer your questions more accurately.

Sorry, but are you ordering the laptop direct off Sager's official website, or are you ordering them through resellers?

Ordering through Sager's official site isn't a wise idea because they aren't exactly known for platinum-quality support. Ordering through the resellers is a better choice as resellers are better at handling support, while Sager worries about the manufacturing.

Some top-rated Sager resellers include Xotic PC and Powernotebooks. Others can also be found on Gophn's list here:

^ Definitely. Also it's cheaper through resellers. The prices in the OP look too high.

I was planning on doing it from Sager's official site, but I'll look into some resellers.
