    btw i see youre using a metabox which means ure in au? youve almost got the same setup as me. are you intending to upgrade to a 6990m?

    yeah, but the only seller is from ebay and the kit with power supply its 550 with out the shipment, so it will be like 600, so thinking of getting just power supply for know and wait for next gen, or price drop hahah XD

    Why not get a 6970m, really similar performance and can be had much cheaper locally?

    Or another alternative if you really want 6990m is to 'trade in' your power supply and VGA. It would certainly reduce your costs.

    As a note, be careful purchasing third party power adapters (in general). While its not always the case, there have been some here that tried them and either had duds, power supplies that couldn't output the rated wattage, and some that actually burned up or damaged components. The best place to buy one is through your retailer, though some third party adapters will obviously work if they're reputable :)

    100% Agree with the above. I have seen many dud chargers from third parties. Some that have even sparked and blown smoke.
