I just got my 9570 yesterday. The power plug keeps falling out of the back of the machine. I tried both power bricks, same thing. Also the fans are a little noisy even at an idle, not bad but not completely quiet like some. Thanks

Yours specs are really awesome. So how does the build quality, fit and finish seem in comparison to your last few Alienware systems? Does the plastic chassis contribute a sense of cheapness? Have you applied the Prima unlocked BIOS yet? How configurable is it compared to the M18xR2 unlocked BIOS? Does is seem like the CPU temps are controlled well enough that you will be able to do some extreme benching at 4.8GHz or higher?

The build quality is great, so is the fit and finish. I honestly would say it's at least as good as my AW 18 in all aspects. The keyboard is awesome, 0 flex. This 4930K is sooooooooooooo fast. I haven't installed any of my benchmark programs except for Passmark. In comparison to the 3940XM I used to get 10,600 on the Cpu part of the test. With this badboy I get 13,400. No OC on either. I wish I knew how to keep this freakin' plug from coming out. There are 4 male prongs where it plugs into the computer, 2 on top and 2 on the bottom which are a tiny bit larger. There are 4 corresponding female plugs on the AC Adapter. I was thinking maybe I'd try bending them in a tad for a tighter fit. I hope someone could give me some ideas. No, I haven't got Premas Bios on yet; I have to send him a bios dump first which I haven't gotten around to yet. I fogot to mention my Cpu temps are mid to high 30s to low 40s at idle.

You could try bending the pins. But be careful, and if you can see it is bent, then you bent it too far. Just a half a millimeter or less. Better to bend too little than to far. The pins could break. So once again, if you do it, be careful.

Well I guess I'm gonna have to go buy a camera :D This thing is much nicer and richer looking in person though. Sager nailed it with this 9570.

Yes I am. I put the power plug in the converter box and it's a nice snug fit. Then I plugged in the converter box into the computer and it's loose so the problem must be the jack in the back of the computer. I cut a 1/8" piece of electrical tape and wrapped it around the part of the power plug where it goes into the jack and it feels tighter. Will see if it comes off today.Lpc-Digital has offered to RMA it and send me a new unit. Do you know if they send you the replacement and then you send the defective unit back like Dell does?

You would have to talk to them, my plug is snug so you do need to get it sorted really.

Is Larry cross shipping? LPC is where I plan to order from. Any other comments on them?

Meaker, I thought you liked the NP9380 3D best?

I can't say enough good things about Larry and LPC-Digital. There's a $50 off sale if your order is over $1300 plus he gave me another $150 off. I think Sager is handling the RMA; the new one will come directly from them. They are putting a $3700 temporary authorization on my credit card till they get this one back.

What made you go with the 60hz and not the 120hz display, 90% gamut glossy?

I knew you'd OC the panel. :D Just wasn't sure if gamut/glossy was the bigger draw.

My decision won't be about gaming or 3D video but video, yes. It will be a DTR. Glossy is a draw for me - dark room most of the time but the 120hz is the base on this model, pretty good.

    My head scratcher
    9570 the glossy is a $100 upgrade, 120hz standard, 770m just fine
    9380 the glossy is a $100 upgrade, 120hz $150 upgrade  780m must have

It comes down to demand and labour and the prices set by sager.

I've identified my weakest card and replaced it (my primary was weakest) with my "spare" card from my msi (which is actually a sager card).
