I'd also like suggestions on different mods to the computer, budget of $3k, currently at $2960.

The question I had was how well will the cooling do with the gtx 680m and i7 3720?

Should I repaste or leave the IC thermal on there. If I should repaste should I just ask for stock paste?

I'm not planning on OC'ing, also how does the 680 compare to the 7970? Which is better...

Also, is this keyboard 'Standard Sager/Clevo Non Chiclet Backlit Keyboard', the same keyboard as the one in this video:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPHq1Qpfj1s, @ 7:00?
Has anyone had a good experience with Sager RMA?

    Thank you.

    Daaaam
    And I thought I spent a lot at $1750

But I say just go with the 7970, 8 or 12 gb of ram, no premium packaging.

The 9170 uses the same cooling fans from its smaller 9150 brother so you have a bigger computer using the smaller fans. So take that info for what's its worth....

I would go with the ic paste and just leave it be, unless you want to do your pasting job.

    hi MuteX,
I would change your hard drive configuration. I see you currently have an mSATA and a HDD. I would go with an Intel 520 series as the primary drive and a HDD as the second drive. The 520 series are faster then a mSATA.
With your configuration you wont have bluetooth, if you don't use that then no worries, but do be aware of that.

Personally I would drop the Msata and the HD and just buy a SSD yourself and install it. The Intel 520 uses a Sandforce controller, and I would stay clear of them, currently its just one issue after another. Or go Crucial from Xotic.

Advice to XopticPC is to bring on a few more non Sandforce SSD options.
