    Has anyone given this go?

They have mods for some Clevo models including the P150, P570 and W230ST. I guess this may be helpful for W230ST owners who are after extended battery life?

I run the latest release in my P170EM. It enables a variety of features in Intel XTU. Before that I was running the previous release. The best mod for Clevo laptops, hands down. Prema is a legend. This is just one of his many contributions of Clevo laptops mods to the community. Big respect.

He is indeed a legend here, I'm also using his latest bios on my P150EM. I'm still hoping he can finish his 780M project so I can put that beast in my laptop, and probably newer cards also since now he has the experience how to mod them. You can try them, it's 100% safe ;)

I'm also using latest premamod bios. Love that I can max out the multipliers on my CPU for overclocking, plus the option to set fans on full speed with FN+9 buttons is great for keeping your temps lower while overclocking, especially for your GPU.

Definitely much respect to prema for his helping the community. I'm curious, what else are you using XTU to do to your CPU? I just max out the multipliers for overclocking. I think I can also adjust voltage and other stuff, but haven't really played with that. Not sure what settings I can safely adjust. Any recommendations? Or maybe a good link with more info?

I'm also hoping that Prema will continue to add support for 780 as well as new line of AMD cards and other cards in the future. I want to keep my p170em for a long time, but the video card is guaranteed to become the bottleneck so would love the ability to upgrade in the future. Shame on clevo/sager for releasing user upgradable notebooks and then not supporting them with bios updates for newer GPUs.

So.... I was just about to type about how my max fan option doesn't seem to work.

That's when it dawned on me it says Fn + 9 not Fn + F9 like I was pushin!!!!

Awesome work my friend! Hoping to grab me a different processor so I can really play with some of the capabilities this thing now has! Though I just discovered I need a new power supply that will push a bit more wattage because its throttling in high load situations when overcocked like 3dmark11 when it gets to the physics test with the GPU and CPU running at the same time. Can't wait to see what she's capable of once I take care of that little issue!!! Heat isn't an issue so far.

    I would if I could!

My 3630QM doesn't play with throttle stop unfortunately! Otherwise I'd be all over it! :)

You're kidding, right? Half of this forum uses Prema's BIOS of heaven and enjoys its benefits!
My W370ET is pimped out as hell with the latest release and pumping iron in the gym with every CPU thread.

I really do need to download primo's bios for my np9170, but I'm worried I will do something wrong as it's beyond my tech level. Given my hardware configuration, what would the main benefits be for 3630qm (locked processor) and 675MX?

I am waiting for his P157SM/NP8255 release, and hoping it offers quieter and smoother fan control. I am a programmer, but I don't know the first thing about how he edits these bios. Props man.

I was having an issue running SLI and 3D with 780Ms at 120hz in my Sager NP9380-S. While running at those settings and gaming, I would see "white tares" that would shift around like static on my screen, and then my cards would crash after about 5-10 seconds of gameplay. I had tried everything except Prema's custom vbios(I was unaware of such a fix). I made my contributions to his forum and got a hold of his custom vbios, and all I can say is wow. My cards run slightly cooler, I don't have as much stuttering, and most importantly, it fixed every issue I was experiencing while running SLI! Big props to Prema. He definitely saved me from having to submit an RMA, one thousand thanks to him!

The more I see people using Prema's mods, the more I lean toward doing it. I'm just nervous to mess with the BIOS. I might be more inclined in a couple days when I receive the laptop I bid on on ebay. Same laptop in everyway except I believe his has the windows key on the other side (so I assume newer EC and BIOS version) and just different custom options that I want (hence why I bid on his laptop). I will probably swap a few of my components in his and sell my current one. But I'm highly tempted to try the BIOS mod on that platform for the overclocking. I've never overclocked. Don't know much about it at all, but figure that's the only way I'll learn. Plus I plan to have a lot beefier hardware in it so it'd be nice to play with.

According to some recent entries at Tech Inferno forum, GTX780M in EM/HM Clevos is a no go. :(

I still haven't had time to dive into it again. Every time RL got into the way, but the project is in no way abandoned... ;)

EDIT: Ok already checked, unfortunately GTX 880M and GTX 870M are not working in HM series. It boot on but freeze on post BIOS screen.

So there is still hope... May you find more time to delve into P1x0HM/EM GPU support, for the good of us all. ;)
