I'm about to send my laptop in for the first time, so i'm a bit "scared" at the moment. i love my baby. :(

i've heard of guys recommending that the user should take out certain things like hard drives before sending your laptop in to get serviced. i'll be giving my NP8850 a very good clean before i send it in. is there anything else i need to clean/disconnect before my baby is shipped off to XoticPC? thanks in advance!

Whatever you bought later on and added to the system can be pulled out,

but I left my RAM in there as I know they weren't faulty, and I wanted them to test my system out to the fullest.

The HDD was pulled out to keep personal information safe though.

I'd be good with just pulling the HDD out. Also, I wouldn't really recommend cleaning, the factory does not do a good job of keeping your machine clean, and it would be good for you to just clean after you get it back from the factory.

    hi houstoned!
With Sager computers you dont have to worry about too much. Other brands like Asus or MSI you need to be more cautious of because they can sometimes remove any upgraded parts and replace it with stock configuration components. But Sager isnt like that as all their upgraded parts are done directly by them so they will put back in what you originally ordered. Back up your data before you send it in of course.

I hate having send anything back but a good company is worth its weight in gold... Being a hunter and a fisherman I deal with Cabelas, what a great company to deal with... Computer wise <desktop> I have had better luck with Dell than Hp. One of the reasons I found Sager, they got props on warranty issues.. Resellers got 2 thumbs up.. Good luck post and and tell how it goes..
