Hey guys,I've purchased the P180HM from Logical Blue One in Australia.I'll be requiring some help on what software to download/stuff to do in order to bring my laptop to peak performance.
    The specs:

    i7 2760

2x ATI Radeon 6990m (Blackcomb XTX) with 2GB Dedicated Graphics

    12GB DDR3 1333Mhz system memory

    128gb Intel 520 SSD

    500gb 7200 rpm hdd

    DVD+/-RW DVD Burner

    Standard 802.11A/B/G/N Wireless Card

    Windows 7 Home Premium

    System cost: 2.7k$

What I'm mostly worried about is configuring the 6990 xfire graphic cards as I've heard its a pain.Could someone list out/link the updates/software I require to achieve optimum performance with them?

    Thanks guys :)

Could you please specify which version would I need? Would the latest one (12.2 ) be best? Also, is there a need to download the AMD Catalyst™ Application Profiles or radeon pro?
Are you able to run skyrim on ultra? What about mass effect 3 and witcher 2?

    Thanks :)

I run 12.2, they work excellent. Yep and skyrim runs maxed out. No need to run any custom profiles. Enable xfire and your all set. :)

Witcher 2 you will be running settings less than max, but thats a game that even brings high end desktop video cards to its knees, but regardless it will still run and look amazing.

SICK specs! :D You should be able to get the correct drivers for your video cards at AMD's drivers section. Chipset drivers and such at intel's website. It's all new hardware so finding drivers shouldn't be so troublesome.

When I bought my clevo the reseller also gave me a CD with all the necessary drivers on it and surprisingly they were all still up to date. Didn't you get a CD like this as well?

As for performance; I doubt that you'll need any tweaking. With such specs even heavy games such as BF3 should be no problem whatsoever maxed out.

I would monitor the heat though if I were you. My hd6990m tends to get a little hot under a heavy workload and I only have 1 hd6990m in my machine.

You can just grab the latest drivers, no need for the extra software. You can also typically find the latest compatible drivers in this thread:

As for gaming, this site should give you a pretty decent idea of benchmarks on most games with Crossfire 6990's:

Check the end of that thread, the first page is only infrequently updated. New drivers are posted there all the time though.

I run Mass Effect 3 completely maxed out with only 1 video card, im not sure what the frames are like but i havent noticed any choppiness or anything, its not a very graphic intensive games, character models look pretty good but environments which tend to stress the card the most are a bit bland

The 12.3 RC drivers are pretty great. The most stable drivers I've seen from AMD in a while.
