All orders submitted on or before 7/5/2007 with select configuration will be filled, any of the following configurations will not be shipped.

Orders with 2GB memory modules, ( 1 x 2048MB or 2 x 2048MB) will not be Shipped. ETA late week of July 16th.

Orders with Bluetooth module option, will not be shipped. ETA late week of July 16th.

Orders with TV-Tuner module, Will not be shipped. No ETA.

Is that for orders as of today? What I mean is if I order one within a week will it ship late July as well?

 

No, the WSXGA+ will be Matte until further notice. We do not know when, or if, they will come in with glossy screens.

 

It is impossible to tell until you place your order, but if you don't place it until a week from now it probably won't be until early August before it can ship.

 

Two weeks. Lets hope this is the last time I hear those two words in regards with the IFL90

If I can ask, what makes "the end of July" any different than "mid June" or "Early July" or "Mid July"? Is this a definite date or is it pretty much the same as you've been hearing, with the only concrete info being on the WXGA model?

Edit - Dont confuse my post for rage or extreme anger or anything, I am just wondering if the late July is simply an estimate or more concrete than before.

 

The concrete info is the WXGA. The WSXGA does not have a confirmed date at this time. I know it doesn't sound any different then the last ETA's but this is what Sager is officially stating as the date also. The is the first ETA Sager has provided on the WSXGA. We all hope this is a positive sign

Stinks for the people who ordered the WSXGA screen really early June, they won't recieve it untill late July. That is like 2 months waiting time

 

i'm going to cancel my order with xotic, I have a WSXGA screen and someone told me it'd be late august before I'd receive mine. I need it early august so I guess I'm out of waiting club.

 

See if you can change your order to WXGA and keep your spot in line.

We dont have a way to put a Guaranteed date on it, but we see no reason for existing orders not to get units before Mid August.

These threads are only very temporary in nature so I do not see any reason to Sticky them. They will be obsolete within a couple of weeks.

hey paladin, if i order from powernotebooks a 2090 this week, that means i'd expect it end of july and early aug?

if that isn't correct then i'm pretty lost on the release dates.

 

The ship dates depend on which resolution you get.

I ordered a Sager NP2090 yesterday afternoon from Powernotebooks.com. I was leaning towards getting an Inspiron 1520 due to the supply issues with the NP2090. After reading this thread and talking to a Powernotebooks.com sale rep, I decided to go with the NP2090 after all. I'm hoping to get my laptop before a trip at the very end of July.

This web site has been a huge help in my laptop research. I've built many desktop systems, but the NP2090 will be the second laptop I've ever owned. I've also never ordered a laptop from an independent reseller, but seems like I chose wisely. Powernotebooks.com's service has been great so far.

Hmmm, I need to figure out how to add that Sager image to my sig now.

 

paladin, will the wsxga+ models for sager arrive at their warehouses at around the same time that you guys get yours?

 

It should actually be the same day, or even 1 day earlier for us to get them.

Hey guys, say I ordered an NP2090 around august 11th or 12th, would it be possible to get the laptop before august 23rd or 24th? Or does this seem not possible due to the shortages.

 

I think the plan is by mid August they will be all caught up with pre-orders and have them in stock, nothing is guaranteed with that plan, but I would say it looks good for it.

If I order one within the next week or two will I be able to receive it the week of Aug 19th? Because I need a good week before I head off to school to put all my files on it and customize it with programs and stuff.

No one can tell you right now what kind of ship date you can expect until you place your order. Orders received within the next week should be able to meet your deadline with ease but it would be hard to say if you only allow a couple of weeks to receive it...unless you select Next Day Air. Call me though and I might be able to expedite it for you.

 

Will do paladin, but I still havent decided which reseller to get it from, PowerNotebooks or Xotic. Also I'm still not 100% sure I want this notebook, I would probably say I'm like 85 to 90% sure. If you could or someone here, try to prove to me that the Sager NP2090 is something I should buy, and the pros and cons of this such piece of hardware.

 

The pros and cons are already splattered all over the forums. You might want to look at the "Sager NP2090 vs X" threads or the "Compal IFL90 vs X" threads. There's also a FAQ stickied at the top of this forum. As far as proving that it is something you should buy, ultimately that's something only you can prove to yourself because none of us are in your shoes. I for one don't pretend that because the Sager NP2090 is my choice, that it should be everyone's choice.

It has been almost a week since press release. Did anyone receive any conformation that their unit is shipped?

 

I have, UPS says it should be here by thursday!!!, i think mine shipped mainly because i got the WXGA screen. I ordered on July 5th so if it comes by the 19th it would have been only 2 weeks since i ordered it. Some people have been waiting a long time so im really excited.

 

awesome I ordered on the 12th so mine maybe will ship out by the end of the
week. I got WXGA too and nothing special like bluetooth and tv tunner

 

Ditto, I ordered a fairly vanilla config with WXGA on the 12th. As long as I get mine by end of month (got a business trip then), I'll be happy.

Hopefully Donald can give a quick status update on the NP2090s.

 

I didnt get bluetooth or the tv tuner either, i ordered from xoticpc and so far what everyone has said about them is true, so im guessing the same goes for powernotebook. Hope everyone gets theirs soon, especially you guys that have been waiting forever
