Press Release: Sager has received our new shipment of NP2090 WXGA (1280x800) and will resume shipment.

Anyone recieve there sager from the new shipments?

 

M1I9K8E9's Sager 2090 shipped just recently from xoticpc, so he'll have his soon.

 

I gave Sager Notebooks a ring today, and the customer sales rep said that this shipment was "very limited". I also confirmed that getting a 1 x 2GB RAM stick delays your shipment as well. I'm wondering how "limited" this new shipment is, any confirmation on this Donald?

 

Wasn't this shipment supposed to cover all WXGA(except bluetooth,tvtuner and 2 gig sticks) pre-orders up to July 5th and the rest after that late this week according to press release or have I missed something?

 

There is no update beyond the original announcement.

Syntax Error hits it on the head, except it says:

"Orders that have been submitted after 7/5/2007, will began shipping late the week of July, 16th." It does not say that they ALL will ship late this week, or even that all pre-orders will be filled with that shipment. They will have to wait to see how many they get...and by now we have learned that until they are in the warehouse we just don't know for sure.

Is this TV tuner going to delay me much further? What company produces the TV tuner? I'm considering canceling the TV tuner from my order, is this even possible without losing my spot in line? Can I have the TV tuner shipped separately as soon as it becomes available and install it myself? Sorry for all the questions, I'm just getting anxious about the shipment of my laptop.

 

Ok, so I am going to double post...shoot me if you like but here is our official announcement:

"We just received our first shipment of the WSXGA+ (1680x1050) screens, but we only got a very few. We now expect we will receive yet another shipment next week and hopefully all pre-orders will ship by the end of July or at the latest in early August."

Sager received their first few as well, and they also hope to maintain the same shipping schedule as ours.

 

Is the shipment next week WXGA or WSXGA+?

Donald, ordering on or before what date constitutes as a pre-order?

 

i think it was before june 22nd.

 

Are TV tuners still on "No ETA" Status?

 

Donald referred to pre-orders as any order made before the first WSXGAs go out next week in a previous post

 

what date did you have to preorder before to get in the first shipment of wsxga+?

 

End of May / First of June were orders that are going to be processed in these first shipments that will start next week. (Also depending on how many your dealer is getting)

 

There is no science to this so I will say this only one time and then I will not answer this type of "what date..." or "what batch.." or "precisely when..." question.

The shipments have begun and will continue as fast as possible until all pre-orders have been filled. Until each shipment comes into the warehouse we won't know how many are in it, or exactly what day they will arrive.

That is MY final answer...at least in this thread.
