    Hello all :hi2:
Some of you helped me out with finding a replacement heatsink for my 680, and I never got around to thanking those who helped. So, thanks! I've installed the heatsink and all is well with the temps these days on my gpu.
However..I decided to celebrate by playing some Payday 2 on steam with a friend when a problem occurred. We played for about 2 hours when it happened. My screen froze, the audio stuttered, and there was absolutely nothing I could do except for turning off the system via power button. I've just run FurMark in 1080p for 1 hour and 30 mins, but the highest temp was 80c. I didn't get any artifacts, glitches, anything. So I'm in a bit of a head scratch at this point.
I've also just Prime 95 on blend mode for about 10 mins but I stopped due to the heat getting quite high ( i assume it's too high ). I will include a picture to this thread of my temps while running prime. Any help with this persistent problem would be very appreciated!

P.S. I updated my graphics driver to 332.21 WHQL off of Nvidia's website. Haven't tested gameplay since though..

Prime95 blend is designed to produce unrealistic loading conditions.

Looks at other issues, or maybe the game itself is buggy.

Well move on unless it happens again in another title. Make sure your drivers are up to date.

At this point it could be hardware or software.

Your temps looked okay (90 C max), so it doesn't appear to be a thermal issue. It could have been the software in and of itself. You can check the Windows Event Viewer in the Control Panel -> Administrative tools for any clues.

If it just happened once it could have been a fluke. If you can duplicate the issue again and again then you'll want to start looking into it further. I got a BSOD on my computer the other day, first one in about a year since I've owned this computer. It rebooted like all BSOD's do and I've just been using it like normal since then. Point is, don't stress a single issue too much.

The issues that occur out of the blue every 6 months to a year are also the hardest to diagnose in the whole of electronics ;) Military systems designers break into cold sweats at night over that sort of thing.

Then you need to tell us that and detail each issue otherwise we can't help you.
