I got it without an operating system already installed, but when I bring up the installation screen and select the disk to install it to (its listed as Disk 0 Partition 1, the only available option) it says Windows must be installed to a partition formatted as NTFS. How do I convert my disk to an NTFS format? Thank you.

if the drive was empty when you got it, just select advanced at the bottom of that prompt, erase the partition so that it's listed as "unallocated space" and then Windows should let you install to it. You shouldn't need to format it, but you can create a "new partition" if that still gives you trouble.

My options are Delete and Format, I think you mean delete but format has a picture of an eraser or something pink and blocky next to it, which should I choose?

Delete. It should come up listed as "unallocated space" afterward which Windows should be happy enough with. The hard drive *should* have been unallocated to begin with if it was brand new.
