For some reason the Sliders in Riva tuner top out at
    575mhz for core
    1150 for shaders
455 for memory. These values for memory and shader are less than the stock values :(

Advice? Is it the driver version I'm using 179.48 atm

Rivatuner will not recognize the proper clocks, so you'll have to use Nvidia System Tools.

That will work with mobile cards?

Oh well downloading it to give it a try will let you know how it goes.

I also thought you needed a nForce Mobo D:?

    Hrmm thanks that works!

Question what would be a healthy max temp something I wouldn't want to go over?

Stupid question, but you're looking at the "3D performance" clocks, not the 2D clocks, right?

The default selection is 2D graphics, you have to select 3D Performance from the drop-down menu.

    *EDIT* Well, guess I got inb4'd lol*EDIT*

Depends who you ask. Most I've heard say 90 MAX, 84 safe.

K-TRON says nothing over 80 unless you want to shorten the life of your GPU though, and I respect his opinion a hell of a lot though, so it's really your call.

I say 86 max. 90 is such a scary number, but 80 is impossible to avoid. I run my 9800M GT @ 600/1525/950, and my temp never goes beyond 85. At stock clocks I max at like 78.

And mine goes to 106 when I'm testing it with 3dmark06! I think I need to re-apply thermal paste right?

106? Is should downclock around 95-100C to prevent damaging the card. You probably want to put OCZ Freeze paste on it and clean out your vents.

Im pulling in 86 degrees with a 550/1350/800 overclock.
Crysis crashes about 5 mins in with 600/1400/800.
Im thinking I should reapply the Thermal paste as that seems a bit hot and maybe check to see if my vents are clear.

This is in Crysis which is basically what I use to see what the max gpu temp is :p
Running 3dmark gives me 76 degrees
My Gpu Idles at 49 degrees at stock

Oh another question apparently my SMC shows Im using DDR2 and my Logical/Chipset Memory Banks show up as DDR2 too
However my memory modules show as DDR3 >.>. Why is this D:

I did like a half clean earlier today where I opened the back and blew out the heatsink area with canned air. Some dustbunnies came out but I guess I should pull out the heatsink and do a full clean.

Is the OCZ Freeze paste better than the Artic Silver?

My vents are pretty clean since I got this laptop 3 weeks ago only.
