If I run a game says he uses the Intel GPU 3610qm .. in admin in windows device appears to have the best version of drivers .. but says Windows descativo this option present failures ..

You have to do it differently than that.

First remove all the drivers you have using the amd driver remover or driver sweeper, which ever you want to use.

The reboot and install the drivers off of the disc. Don't reboot just yet. Install the 12.8s and click advanced. On the check list, pick only the display driver and the CCC.

Install and reboot. It worked for me, hopefully it will work for you. The 12.8s don't support the 7970m because they don't have an intel driver in them, so it can't see the 7970m. We have to do this in this backwards way for now.

there is one for mobility you can download check alineware m17x forum there should be there. Obviously, you messed up your drivers by installing 12.8 fully . I tell you why later but first thing first. un-install any mad driver from win. next, run driver sweeper in SAFE MODE (check amd then hit clean). after download clevo driver form clevo website and install. Now for ccc 12.8 , run it and choose custom installation. Untick all selected amd things to be installed by pressing de-select all (note: some of them can't be unticked which is ok leave them). Then select only amd displa driver and that is. Press install , it should run . The reason why we did this is because amd 7970m is customized according to different manufacture like alienware, msi , clevo , so every 7970m is different a little bit . Therefore , it would need special drivers by done manufacture to make driver work on their card (like clevo). by installing driver from amd using your method you are removing special component from old driver by clevo and installing amd driver which will not recognize your GPU. by method posted here, you are only installing amd display driver buy you are not completely removing clevo drivers so the special things stays untouched (you are only removing and installing amd display driver) . FYI, amd display driver is on how to run gpu with video games so actually this is the one we need :) for fixing if there are problem with running video games

You can't install the drivers from the main AMD website because the drivers for the P150EM/P170EM, I believe, are specialized due to Enduro and having the iGPU. The ones on AMD website are generic, and usually just for their desktop components. Also, with Enduro, the compability checker WILL NOT pick up the 7970m for whatever reason. Just use the drivers from Clevo and you'll be fine ;)

Is there a working 7970m driver for Windows 8 rtm that was just released? I have the P170EM with Enduro and I haven't found anything. I also haven't really found any conversation about it either.

What is the problem, and what isn't working? Your 7970m is being recognized. You are fine. If it is using the Intel GPU then change the .exe in CCC to high performance.

Can you list out all the steps to remove the current drivers & install the latest ones?
Also, can you provide download links to the Intel & AMD drivers (if not from the CLEVO website)

I tried several ways and progresses a bit ... Windows detects the card but also installed grafics INTEL HD 4000 ... The CCC works but it will not let me see the screen options as resolution etc. .. I can move that option from the intel Control panel .. if I open a game, says it is using Intel HD 4000, not used., 7970GB AMD .. GPUZ now shows more information about the GPU, but I think even missing data .. how do I only use AMD, not intel? e.gif 2012-08-27_00002.jpg

Contact your reseller and demand a new GPU or a refund or something that should fix this! Something is terribly wrong

You aren't setting the game to use the card in CCC. It's under switchable graphics.

Right click the desktop. It should be right under the graphics configure option.

You have to set it per individual game. I'm not talking about the laptop power options. If you did that, then I don't know. Maybe that particular game has issues with reading the 7970 over the Intel HD.

By the way on my p170em the "recent applications" pane shows nothing. This CCC is one of the worst programs I've ever used. I just have to ASSUME it memorized my settings. Because the ****ing AC adapter fried the first day and I'm waiting for a new one -no thanks to my reseller- I ordered from the US, all I can go by is a few hours of use, and I think I'm suffering from the same issue as the OP. HWinfo shows nothing about the dGPU, and no game seems to utilize it no matter what I do with CCC. I still haven't heard the dGPU fan power on.

It clears the recent applications section every time you reboot. It should save the data, though. I haven't had any problems losing my settings.

Press "Browse," and find the directory the game is in and open the .exe file the game uses. An easy way to locate the directory is to launch the game, open the task manager via ctrl+shift+esc, click the "Processes" tab, right click the game.exe, open file location. With that location, go to CCC switchable graphics after exiting the game, and locate the .exe after clicking browse.
