    Hi there..

i'm having a problem with my Clevo M570A.. the problem is that because i've installed a program in DOS mode (and now I cant remember witch program is) wich (I GUESS) made the BIOS swap the items in slave and master. Now when I turn on my laptop, it says System BIOS Shadowed and Video BIOS shadowed, then takes lots of time to pass the first screen (the one where I can enter the Bios setup), after a long while it goes to a screen where it makes some checks of yukon PXE and pre-boot execution.. one says exiting pxe rom then stops and says operating system not found.

i´ve tried to solve the problem, by taking the battery, and the small baterry inside the laptop for 1 day so it can clear CMOS, with no results.. I did this because when I enter the BIOs setup and try to manage the master and slave settings they are all blocked.. I've got acess to them, but I cant change them.. and even when i've made a usb to open and install windows again, it opens in the laptop but then doesnt recognize the disc and I cannot install windows :S

Does anyone can give me some help where?!
    REGARDS

So you are able to get into the BIOS eventually but unable to change a thing? Have you tried to "restore factory defaults"? Not sure if the option is even there in M570A BIOS.
Another question: have you also tried pressing+holding the power button for 20 sec after removing the laptop and BIOS batteries?

So how far does the machine boot? If you are able to at least boot from DVD-ROM or a USB port, I'd flash the BIOS right away.

Well in BIOS I can change all things except the menu related with master and slave devices, I can acess their sub-menus but I cannot change anything in these sub-menus..

By the way the pressing+holding the power button doesnt have any result, as well as in bios setting the option to restore default devices :S

I can boot from a USB but them, as I said nothing is discovered in master or slave, so I cant install a new copy of windows.. I guess something or some program is blocking the acess to them, because of what if explain above, as I enter in BIOS setup..

How do I flash BIOS?! I know i've to make a boot usb, i've alredy done that..

From what you've posted, it looks like your system is trying to boot from the network connection. Since (I'm assuming) that's not what you're trying to do, it's not finding a valid, working network connection from which it can download/run an OS, which is why it's kicking up that error screen you show in your last pic.

Have you been messing around with funky boot CDs or DVDs, maybe using the PXE boot environment?

So, you were trying to do an update to the BIOS? Did you install anything else after that update?

In the BIOS setup, can you disable the option to boot from a network?

I'm not quite sure what i've installed, as I said :S but NO when i've made the install in windows mode it asked me for a restart and then is as its shown in the pictures i've taken..

In the boot setup I've got this:

Do you want me to remove the item that says PCI LAN: B02 D00 Yukon PXE from boot order and put it to the excluded boot order?|

Well i've exclude the network from boot but it stays the same.. I guess that is not what is blocking the acess to the hard drive

You're not suposed to be able to change them. It is telling you what is plugged in to which physical port on your laptop.

Have you tried taking the ODD out of the boot order? Or try taking everything except the HDD out (whichever you use IDE/SATA) and then add things back in until it breaks.
