Hey guys havent been around for a while, but i just have a question about the Sager 9260

I have been having some screen problems with my system, and it has been progressively getting worse...

When i boot up the computer i get some white horizontal ghosting lines and while i am on the desktop the screen starts shaking with intense streaming of white fine horizontal lines, its kinda scary if you ask me... This occurs at completely random times, not more than 10 seconds, and can usually be fixed temporarily (or for a while, it depends) when i close the screen lid...

I wanted to try to fix this myself because i quite plainly dont want to ship it in, and im sure you guys wouldnt want to either :p

So finally, down to the point...

Where do i access the lcd cable ribbon? through the panel on the back?
And if so, what size screwdriver would i need? as far as i can remember, the manual didnt say.

Thanks very much for your help guys, and your sure as hell easier to talk to than those dorks at sager ))

If it's put together anything like the previous D900K, you'll need to remove the front bezel (undo the screws, and pop the fasteners holding it to the back panel). Then unscrew the lcd panel from the metal frame, and gently lie it face first flat on the keyboard. The lcd cable ribbon should be plugged into the backside of the lcd panel, near the top. You may have to remove some tape.
