    Greetings,

I have a P560SE, today I tried to update my BIOS because of some erros with my video card. Something went wrong during the flashing and now my screen doesn't boot up, it stays completely black and the logo doesn't appear, the goes on after 15 seconds ata crazy speed and then after 50 seconds the whole computer shuts down, everything was working fine before my attempt to update de BIOS. Apparently I isntalled a wrong version of the bios.

Mashing F7 and F2 also don't produce anything, also the light from my mouse does´t light up. I tried putting the right bios on pendrive, but don´t know if the usb ports are active, tried to plug to my tv with hdmi and nothing, it sats there with a completely black screen, the led light on the front blink, the fans are loud and the it shuts down.

Could anyone give some insight in whats is going on plz ? Thanks a lot

You need to get the factory default BIOS, get out the motherboard and flash the BIOS with a programmer.

You can find all information on the internet, for me I just went to the nearest technician with the motherboard and the BIOS on usb flash memory, and he did it for me.

Where did you download the BIOS files? Are the ones from the clevo site?

No, you need a dump from a working laptop, you can't flash a BIOS update file because its incomplete..

Create a post on badcaps, might have better luck there.

Actually, with Clevos you can; the binaries provided are, kindly enough, not packed or compressed and can be flashed directly with a programmer. With almost every other brand you have to use some uncompress tools and/or some manual hex-editing first.

Easiest is to use the v1.05.01 from the source linked to by @Dr. AMK above:
    BIOS 1.05.01 for P65xSE/P67xSE

    It contains two readily-flashable files:
    1. P65SE_05.01 - without the Intel ME, for a 32 Mbit eeprom
    2. P650SE6M.01 - with the ME, for an 48 Mbit eeprom
Which one you need for your system depends on the motherboard's arrangement; either a single bios+ec+me eeprom or one that has two eeproms, one for bios+ec and another for the intel me.

Instructions and identification help can readily be found in this forum using the 'search' function (' programmer eeprom', for instance). But you could also read up on a few earlier threads, the basics are all the same:

I remember Prema saying that you needed to have a dump due to the NVRAM section or something akin to that, if indeed you can use the provided files from Clevo, better!

I tried these files and didn't work, apparently it has to be .bin file. Problem is that my notebook has only one chip, U38, and all the dumps that I find are divided in two files.

Bios updates usually contain a bios file an an EC update.

I can confirm, I have recovered using a bios downloaded from Clevo (not a dump) via a raspberry pi and a sop8 clip.

You can just rename the file you need to .bin, sounds like you need the second file (larger file).

Just dump what you have now and back that up before you start test flashing the above.

    That ↑ .

And pen down and post the markings on the chip before flashing. It is indeed likely the version that includes the ME, but why guess and trial(+error) if you can be 100% certain by merely reading out a few scribbles?

Pin #1 corner (arrows) and the bit that marks the chip's storage size (red underline):
