yep, definitely faulty memory. u need to determine which of ur RAM modules are the faulty ones, thus running memtest single-file with each and every module. if all of them turn out to be fine, then run them in all possible combos pairwise.

single out the faulty modules and send them in to their manufacturer, since they usually give out lifetime warranty :)

had similar probs with my mem, used to get random BSODS all the time until i finally decided to run memtest and voila: i had two faulty modules. RMA´d, got replacements, everything fine now :)

    cheers

sure :) take out all but one of the modules and run it through memtest. after that, take it out and install one of the other modules, run memtest again...and so on. this way u can determine if there is just one corrupt module or multiple!

    cheers

Before you go through any of that, I would remove RAM and reseat it to make sure it just wasn't seated incorrectly.

I agree with wingnut. Do that first. I have seen that happen numerous times before. If it still gives you errors, then do just as Jaybee said.

What model laptop do you have? It looks like maybe the NP9150/9170 right?

If that is the case, the 9170, you just need to pry off the top panel (where your power button is located and indicator lights there above the keyboard) There are no screws retaining it.

Next will be the keyboard screws, of which there are 5 that run along the top. Unscrew those 5 and the keyboard lifts out. Be careful as there are 2 ribbon cables attached underneath.
