Hey everyone, basically I have an 8662 using windows 7, and randomly throughout use it just makes the sound as if I connect some sort of device and then disconnect it...

Does anyone have any idea what the problem might be? It is really frustrating. I open device manager and I see that my fingerprint drivers arent installed but I just disabled them because I dont need that. Besides that, whenever the alert sounds go off, I see the Device Manager refresh itself, but nothing seems to change. Can someone help! Thanks

If you have any USB devices connected, then it may be a faulty USB port on your machine.

Also, if you have the optional bluetooth module check to see that it's not being turned off/on (in device manager and by pressing Fn+F12).

try installing the fingerprint drivers (if you want it disabled, just disable it through the driver software)
