Hi everyone, not new here, but can't remember if i ever posted before.

Well, i own a Clevo D900/1C (could never figure out if it was 900 or 901).
    Details:
    Core 2 Quad Q9650
    4GB DDR2
    300GB HD
    NV9800M GTX

Fully functional, i'm very happy with it. Some BSOD every now and then, but i blame it on Vista.
The thing is i ran CPU-Z and i have some "weird" readings. I say "weird" because i don't know if they are ok or i'm missing something. To the point:

Main CPU-Z Screen, CPU Tab, second half: Clocks (Core #0)
Core Speed: 1995MHZ (same for every Core)
I can read the CPU model correctly, Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9650 @3.00GHZ, but i don't understand why speed is @2GHZ. Is this normal? Does it "speed up" when required? Don't understand much about it, any guide, link, help would be appreciated.

    CPU-Z, Memory Tab, Timings
    DRAM Frequency: 399MHZ
    I have 2 Kingston PC2-6400, shouldn't they be running @800MHZ?
    Model is KHX6400S2LL/2G, 5-5-5-18

If anyone with more knowledge than me (i think most of the people here) could point me just to know if i'm running things as they should i would be very grateful. As i said, i'm very happy with it, but i wanna make sure i have everything set up correctly.

    Thanks in advance,

    Yabran

The RAM is DDR ram (Double Data Rate) hence 399MHz actual = 798MHz effective.

The CPU should clock up when necessary, try running a stress test program such as prime95 and check CPUZ then.

thanks theriko, i'll download/get prime95 and see what happens. With your answer i'm already somewhat more relaxed about it, but i'll check it anyway and come back with the results.
    Thanks :)
