    dont have any other windows open when playing the game and set the volume before you load the game.
    if you do have to change the volume during game control alt delete to close the game window to the task bar then change volume and then open game window again.

    Instead of ctrl+alt+del you could just alt+tab to the desktop and change the volume. No need to take the extra step of opening the task manager.

    how are you trying to change the volume?
    using the hotkeys fn+f5-fn+f6?
    using the g1 or g2 button?
