Hello!
I purchased my M860tu about a month ago and everything had been going great till now...
Two problems have occured all of a sudden and hopefully one of you could help me out:
-The first recurring problem is that everytime I start up the computer and the black screen with the computer info appears, it sort of freezes for 10-20 seconds during wich time this beeping noise whines out of my speakers. The computer always starts after so its not too annoying... more of a concern that something could be wrong. Anyone know what could be causing it?
-My second problem is much more frustrating and confusing: Everytime I use the internet, the image keeps going to the bottom of the screen. Even when I scroll back up, it just goes right back down. Also, sometimes the problem stops for a few seconds then starts again. I've also noted that its not just when i'm browsing the net. For example, if I'm in my control panel or desktop screen, the selection will always be on the icon at the bottom of the screen. Now I'm not sure if this could be a problem with the computer or maybe something else, but any advice would be much apreciated since I've searched around but haven't found anything similar.
Sorry for the long post guys and thanks you in advance to anyone who helps out!

Do a clean install of your OS, see if it's still doing the same.

Is the second really a build problem, or a virus? And the first problem sounds like theres something on your keyboard.

Hi glach and welcome to NBR
with the first one does it beep anymore once the system is up and running.
theres most probably more but the only warning beeps i know of are for your hard drive or low battery. is the computer plugged in the mains before you turn it on? if so was you running on battery the night before?
when it beeps is there a pop up bubble in bottom right task bar.
second problem ive never heard of before. can you do a print screen and post it on here to give everyone a better idea of what you mean. -
the second problem is probably virus issue.

So both problems have stopped occuring.
@ MrDJ: Everytime the beeping happened, the computer had been plugged in and the battery was fully charged. I don'y know what was causing it but i've restarted the computer 3-4 times and it hasn't happened again.
For the screen problem, I played around withthe keyboard and its also stopped. I'm thinking I maybe hit scroll lock by accident ( could that have done it?).
I doubt it's a virus causing either problem since I have fully updated anti-virus.
If the problems come back, I gues I'll do a clean install of OS as Win3K sugested.
Thanks! -
download HW Monitor and HD Tune from HERE and post a print screen of your temperatures and also do a hard drive error scan to see if you have any bad sectors.
could always be a lose wire somewhere that has now rectified itself. -
My temps are fine. Idle right after start up:
- CPU- 35 C
-GPU- 42 C
-HDD- 38 C
I did a hard drive error scan as you suggested and the were no bad sectors. -
think you need to contact your tech support where you bought it from as they would have a better idea than us on here.

Yea, my Sager beeped for no reason too so I just turned it off in the BIOS settings
