Hi, first time to post on this forum :)

I got my np9150 for about 2 weeks, and it seems to have few problems:

    1. Sometimes it freeze and after I restart it, it seems cannot detect the msata ssd (where the os installed) and showing 'media test failure, check cable'. I also check the BIOS boot options but the msata ssd is not found. After a few reboot the ssd is back and I can start the windows normally.

2.I am using 7970m and it seems none of the monitoring software can track my card stats (temperature, usage etc), I tried GPU-Z and afterburner both show 0 for all information,

    For reference, my laptop spec:
    i7 3630qm
    7970m
    8GB ram
    128GB msata ssd (crucial)
    750GB HDD
    Intel centrino 6300

Any thoughts would be appreciated :)

That 'media test failure, check cable' seems like a catch all error, there is no cable to check. I've had it when the BIOS has problems reading the OS from the hard drive, the simplest case when I've formatted the hard drive prepping for a fresh install. If I had to guess, your SSD need replacing.

To get software to detect my 7970m I have to "Engage" it by launching a high performance program.

Tried when running a game, still 0 for all statistic. I have a feeling that it's because I clean the stock and install the 12.11 beta 11 driver without reinstall the stock one first...anyway thanks for the reply

For the ssd I have email my laptop reseller, see if RMA is needed.

This, or the controller itself went down.

As for your monitoring software - does anything show up in BIOS? It's likely that driver you installed, or it's possible that the system temperature monitor is not functioning correctly.

HWINFO64 works with 12.11 beta drivers while Afterburner and GPU-Z don't.
