I talked to a gent at Xoticpc a few days ago, and he pronounced the name two different ways during our very short conversation. Please don't take this as a criticism, though. He was very well informed, and pleasant. He may have mispronounced it intentionally the first time in order not to embarrass me because I'm certain I butchered the name myself. LOL

Anyway, it sounded to me as if he pronounced the name as Sai-grr, Sai sounding like the first part of Saigon. My hearing is not the best though, so I may be completely off base here.

I suppose people not familiar with English might pronounce it geegabite, or even jijabite, though I've never heard it mispronounced.

Until yesterday, I also thought Sager was pronounced Say-jer. I think the company should change its name to Joe's notebooks, or Fred's laptops! :D

For some reason, I say it: 'Gig-a-bit' like the Ethernet connection.

'Byte' just doesn't click when I see the word.

i was kind of wondering the same thing since people have been asking what kind it is. i realize id only ever read the name and wasnt actually sure. i always pronounced it saw-grr in my head because i had a friend in high school named "sager" that pronounced it that way, but i realize thats not a very good reason to pronounce it that way. SAY-grr sounds the most eloquent of those mentioned so far...

We have had this topic come up every often... I do like the hard 'GER' sound better than the soft 'JER'. :)

In any case, I just call them Clevo's now. :D

PS. Now try to pronounce my name... or alias actually. :p

I've heard people at Sager pronounce it SAY-JER as well, so that's what I say :)
