    Hi,

Last week I got my D900c. After playing with for awhile one of the fans started making extra noise (that wasn't there in the beginning). There is a pitchy noise coming form one of them. Is this normal? How can I get rid of it?

Maybe it needs clean or somthing. If that is the case, what is the best way to clean them?

Thanks in advance for all the help.

Cotton swabs and alcohol + Compressed air. I've had my notebook about a month and I have not had any new noise from the fans. When I press Fn+1 they make a bit of noise but nothing really bad.

I'm with Wu Jen, on high the fans pleasantly quiet. Rear cover pulls easily, maybe some packing work into the fans. I hate to ask some of the obvious questions like clearance to the bottom from whatever might draw in...

Does it make the same type sound at low and high speeds?

"Does it make the same type sound at low and high speeds?"

The pitch increases with the speed of the fan.

I'll try remove the cover and check it out. It doesn't look that dificult.

The only noise the other fans do is the air being sucked or something like that. But one of the fans make a different noise. This notebook is not quiet, but it is not noisy either considering the specs.

Thanks, I'll report back on success. The last thing I want is to send it back for such a simples repair.
