Put it in now my comp just beeps nothing on screen and fans go to 100%. Whats broken the gpu, motherboard, both?

    oopps!
cant promise anything but firstly REMOVE THE BATTERY and mains. then hold power button down for 35 hours (sorry 15 seconds :)) then remove base plate and remove cmos battery for a minute and then replace everything and cross everything and turn on.
sadly something might well be fried but this is still worth a go.

Are there any, and do we know the beep codes? If so, could OP say how many beeps or what the sequence is?

Have you made sure everything is seated and hooked up correctly? Have you tested the old GPU to see if it boots with that one?

Put the old gpu back in to make sure nothing is wrong. If it works then your new card is bad or you might need a BIOS update

Yes it beeps once every second and the led for caps num lock and scroll light flash with the beep. Tried the old graphics and new graphics nothing works and both give me same error. I assume its the mobo but I don't know if these cards work either.

Well, if you tried the old card in there and resetting CMOS, most likely it is the board that's fried something when you put the GPU or tools on it with battery in. Somewhat unlikely but that could be it. You basically need to check your GPU/CPU/RAM somewhere else to eliminate that first.

Also, you are getting _some_ beeps which signify the error usually. Try the procedure at top here Bios-beeps - The definitions of Bios error beep tones - www.biosflash.com and maybe if you can listen to the interval of the beeps you will find out which error code it is.

Its 1 continuous beep every 3 seconds, 3-3-3-3. I looked that means that its a faulty motherboard or one of its components. Does the one of its components part cover the GPU or no?

Faulty MB or one of it's components would NOT include GPU on that board. However I don't think the specific code you describe is 3,3,3,3. I looked into it some more and for Phoenix bios 3,3,3,3 would be:

3 short beeps, pause, 3 short beeps, pause,3 short beeps, pause,3 short beeps, pause

So, it's strange. I remember having a similar beep ages ago on a regular desktop board and that did turn out to be GPU. I hope you tried reseating the RAM etc as well. Also reseat the CPU just to be sure, make sure the cabling inside is all connected (like for fans etc). Also, you can try pulling components like GPU/CPU/RAM to see if you get different beeps.

Its weird when I pull the Ram, and cpu I get no beeps comp turns on for a brief second and then turns off. I just wish I could test these cards some how and narrow down my problem

Any one in the boston area have a m571tu?

It doesn't even need to be the same laptop to test in! Anything that takes the 280M and that CPU. For example the 280M works in np9280 / D900f but the CPU won't as that machine is desktop socket.
