Okay so as far as I know, the QX9300 is the best Quad-core available for notebooks out there...It runs at 2,53 GHz stock. I did some searching in Google, and found out that Intel got it running stable at 3,55GHz with no problems. It didn't say what notebook they used, if they used a special built one or anything...

But I am wondering, for those of you that have the QX9300, how much have you been able to overclock it?

3.2ghz was my max. E overclocked it to 3.6 as far as I remember. These were all done on a whitebook by the way.

that was the ocz whitebook that it was in. right now that is the only notebook that can overclock the cpu. but it is unstavke for some because it needs a bios flash. I have mines at 3.2 stable. and I aoing for 3.33ghz next. also the m17 from alien ware has the same notebool but ypu have to bios flash it.

Sager / Clevo needs to not be so restrictive on their OC capabilities. I'd go for a whitebook now just for the OC abilities it has.

Friend has been running his QX9300 @ 3.33GHz for a few months now with zero issues, and his temps are never closer than 15C to TJMax.

It will be a real disappointment if the m980nu doesn't overclock higher than the OCZ whitebook.

Okay so in the M570ETU you could only clock it to max 2,93 because of limitations by Clevo? That sucks...

So what will it take to be able to overclock the FSB on the NP5797 / M570ETU? It's possible on the old M570RU, so why not on the new *ETU...
