ok, im not gonna lie, i kinda semi-double-posted, cuz i remembered this is the forum that had the press release about this situation (also in Hardware forum, admin may delete or move)
If i found a reseller selling it at a decent price, 3500 with the Q6700 and its covered by warranty, since they're using the new lower wattage ones, is it not a bad idea to get?
-
eurocom.com sells it with the quad cores and they give you the warranty. call them to find out for sure.
-
yes... the one i was talking about is that Xtremenotebooks has it now too... shhh
-
There are currently 3 Resellers offering the lower wattage Q6600 and Q6700.
www.eurocom.ca
www.xtremenotebooks.com
www.pioneercomputers.com.au -
voodoo pc also offers the quad core as well.
-
Do they? I'll have to check their website. I didn't know they were offering the D901C atm.
I would like to know if a bios updat is needed or not. If somoene does buy one of these please let us know your BIOS # so that we can compare them.
Thanks! -
hmm iguess thats nice but isnt quad core a little bit over kill?
-
Depends on what your doing with it.
Editing etc will see a marked increase. New games like Crysis will also benefit from it. And users of SLI will benefit from it.
-
