That's right you heard it here first. :)

With the selling of the MXM modules for the Quadro 3600M and the news of the new 2700M and 3700M, I did a little digging.

I have looked at Clevo's recent 175.xx drivers and was surprised to see the support for:
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 2700M (new)
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 3600M
    NVIDIA Quadro FX 3700M (new)

Here is the updated Quadro FX mobile comparison chart:

No Sager laptops with them yet. Nor, to my knowledge, has their been any announcement of them. Of course, if there had been, I might be under an NDA not to tell you, but there really hasn't been.

what do you mean heard it first , gophn?
I found the 3700m specs last week so stop trying to steal my credit.

Name one clevo chassis that can hold 1 75w graphic card per slot? Only the w700 can. I just find it laughable you're stealing my discovery AND you're also not realizing that nvidia video cards have unified driver architecture so I bet my forceware drivers for my 280 even have the quadro hardware IDs

I was talking about the Clevo drivers have support for the new Quadro's... not the announcements of the Quadro's themselves.

As for future models having these Quadro's.... lets just say that some Clevo importer OEMs might have started marketing some of their models to support one or more of these cards. ;)

But how come none of them have spoken up yet, and are willing to do this for a 75W video card but not a petty <50W Quad core? QX9300 will be about 45-50 watts..

They should do both IMO if they need to develop a metal plate that can withstand the 75watts I'm sure they can fabricate a piece that can help dissipate heat for both items using a higher surface area>volume ratio

Pardon the slight departure... in a desktop card, is there an equalivent Quadro to the GTX280? No gaming.

I checked the M860TU manuals recently. For some reason, under the video cards section, the nVidia GeForce 9600M GS is listed as an option.

It looks like the 9800M GT will not be the only graphics card available on the M860TU. There will probably be more to come. This notebook was just released you know.

Did anybody try to configure one with a 3700M.
The Lenovo is surely not cheap.

    >.> I did, the base model with a 3700m was like 3700$. Didn't seem worth it to me.

Nope; the fx5600 is the closest you'll get, but that's still only around an 8800ultra. Oh, and a truck load of United States Dollars.

Who the heck knows... totally given up on them.... now we have excellent alternatives with the IBM W700, the HP 8730W and the Dell M6400. Clevo has been promising these cards for months and months and months with no follow through with the real thing. Incredibily frustrating the way the Clevo horde remains so tight-lipped about these cards.... not the way to do business in this day and time.

Its not Clevo promising them.... its actually on Nvidia's shoulders.

Nvidia will be responsible to produce the MXM-III and IV cards for these notebooks, not Clevo.

But isn't Alienware now offering the 3600M on their m15x? There is even a link to AW on the Nvidia website by now. Putting aside the question marks about the cooling and build quality, if AW can offer it shouldn't Clevo be able to do it as well, at least technically?

Here is a link to the main page in the Nvidia website related to the Quadro family :

    http://www.nvidia.com/page/quadrofx_go.html

I still didn't find information (beside forum rumors) about the matching 9800 card.

Not necessarily. With _Dell in particular, parts tend to be overly proprietary, even when they supposedly "meet" a particular standard, such as MXM (which, itself, is only a pseudo-standard at this point). So, if NVidia is focusing on producing 3600Ms that fit _Dells, there's absolutely no guarantee that those cards would fit anything else. On top of that, it's entirely possible that _Dell got an exclusivity deal with NVidia (for which _Dell, of course, paid a premium - if it happened - which is another reason why brand-names like _Dell tend to be more expensive than Clevos), in which case _Dell gets first crack at offering systems with the card and there's nothing that any other ODM/OEM who didn't get in on the deal can do about it until the period of exclusivity ends.

shipping of Quadro 2700M is already available.

Quadro 3700M should be within thin month.
