    Hi to everyone!
I need a little advice. Which card is better for Clevo M570TU Quadro Fx 3700M or 9800M GTX?
Now I'm using 9800M gtx, but there is opportunity to buy Fx 3700m for about 140$, should I go for it?

    No need.

Unless your 9800MGTX is dying and you want to get a replacement.

Agreed, difference is minimal if not non existent..it's just a shader core bump.

If you're primary goal is gaming stick with GeForce. The Quadro would kill the GeForce in a professional workstation machine though. It all depends on your use. While they are both made by Nvidia the two series are made to accomplish different things.

interesting! You mean that resoldering my 9800m gtx with those chips you told, will make it not 9800m, but GTX 285m?
Will it work (have performance) like 285m or just showing the information and keep on working on the same performance level as 9800m?

I've got my FX3600M and 9800MGTX both BGA resoldered to GTX280Ms.
GTX285M chips should work as well.

However, MXM2.1 boards are not as power efficient as later MXM3.0 boards. If one GTX280M or GTX285M chip were resoldered to your 9800MGTX board,it wouldn't be of the same overclocking ability.

yes u will get 128sp, but core clock might cant reach 285m/fx3800ms speed bcz the pcb power phase different, after that you can flash its bios to "mxm2.1" gtx280m one>>>will become full 280m spec :)

see saltius's great work, u wont get any problem cz u are running single gpu right?
