I recently started a topic on the What notebook should I buy? thread and was told that the NP9170 I was considering would be the best choice for my money and needs from the G75 and the Alienware M18x. So now my question is, how will this sager run games such as Skyrim(HD texture packs as well), Battlefield 3, Fallout NV, and other newer games. The specs are

From what I could gather from the forums I gather that the NP9170 has a relatively quiet fan and a great cooling system, any comments?
How durable is the laptop, I ask because it does not offer a accidental damage warranty, on my old laptops I usually get one but end up never needing it but yet I always get scared when I don't have it. It will be a desktop replacement so I don't plan on carrying it every where I go. I want to make sure I get the right laptop for what I need. I am hoping to run Skyrim on max settings or at least on high with the textures maxed out. Any help would be great, thanks.

Also what reseller would you goes advise I go through. I was thinking Gentech PC because I saw they had a pretty positive review from other consumers.
Also what is the advantage of RAID.
