I read on the forum post below that Prema's modded BIOS has a more aggressive default fan profile. However, I found no record of that mentioned on Prema's mod page. Can anyone verify if the modded BIOS uses a more aggressive fan profile?

I use Prema's modded BIOS in my P170EM. GPU temps are down by 10C. On stock BIOS the GPU was reaching 89C before the maximum fan speed was set. With Prema's BIOS the GPU reaches 80C, fan kicks in, and the GPU stays at 80C, even in FurMark. My GPU runs at 940/1400 clocks.

How common Clevo releases bios updates?did they put any of the Prema ideas on updates?
-
As for implementation of Prema's ideas in original Clevo's BIOSes, I don't think it has ever happened. -
How much more aggressive are the fans on idle? I like having them kick in sooner when hot, but when I'm just browsing I would like them to be quiet.

Thanks. Checked doesn't seem to have anything for W370ST and Windows 7 -
I was looking at Prema's page and it seems rather easy to flash to the Custom BIOS. However, I'm a bit concerned about reverting to the stock Sager BIOS.
On the following page, Prema has the Clevo stock BIOS's
STOCK BIOS & EC | Prema Mod
On the page below however, it mentions that flashing from a Clevo to Sager BIOS may brick the computer.

I'm on BIOS 1.02.17LS1 with EC 1.02.11SA -
Once you get Prema;s BIOS, you wont want to go back. Ever.
Ive used v1.0 for my model, then jumped to the newest version (with turbo fan option).
Man, the laptop got its turbo boost unlocked, I got silent operation under normal browsing (fan used to kick in at 40'C) and my system performs 10 times better overall.
Its magical... -
I understand that. However, in the event that I need to RMA my computer or for whatever reason, then is there an issue since I have a Sager BIOS?

Flashing custom firmware does void your warranty, you could always backup your current bios if you want to return it to its original state.

Are you sure you updated the EC too?
-
Yes i am sure. I see in BIOS PM(prema mod) on EC version.

Only Prema knows it for sure.
