I'm looking at buying W110ER after Ivy Bridge update. However I'm wondering how good is the screen? Is it similar to the Macbook Air 11.6 768p, or just another sub-200 contract ratio run-of-the-mill panel?

    Thanks!

The regular glossy version is the AUO B116XW03 V.0
The matte screen that right now only Mythlogic offers is the AUO B116XW03 V.1

Both are 45% gammut screens, like all 11.6".

There is an AUO B116XW02 v.0 matte which I wonder if it would be compatible. Specs show it to use 1W more power though. Mythlogic wants $150 to buy the screen directly which I think is a bit of a price gouge considering the panel likely only costs < $60.

Not for them being sold separately. And the screens weren't exactly cheap, as matte 11.6" screens turns out in decent quality aren't very easy to find lol.

$100 if you order it with the laptop, $150 if you buy it separately from them. I put out a few requests to see if someone can find a matte 11.6" that will work with this machine. I guess I'll live with a $15 screen protector, they seem to do a great job if you can get it applied correctly, and I've gotten pretty good at it. ;)

yeah, I'm going the anti-glare screen protector route as well. lowest I've found is in the mid twenties, anyone got a good site to grab one of these screen protectors from?
