I'm not exactly sure if this is the right place but figured this certainly falls under the "help" category.

So I bought a slightly customized (only processor and video card, not a carbon fiber case or anything) Sager NP9150...

Now, almost 2 weeks ago, (this is tuesday, and I ordered it two weeks ago, but they confirmed the payment on thursday.) I confirmed the order.

They said it would be around 5-12 days, and when I checked the Phase today it was only on Phase 2. (construction/testing).

Should I be concerned, because I would expect the phase to be on 3 or 4 by now, since there are only 2 days left until it has been two weeks... (The employee who called me said it would take a total of around 2 weeks).

Very specific question I know, so don't be afraid to say I don't know :p

Well you could always give them a call or e-mail them.

If you post this in the Sager section you would likely get a response from one of their representatives directly, not sure how often they frequent this section.

OP if you got the 7970m, you are going to have to wait a few more weeks.

About how long does it take to be put in Phase 2? I ordered an NP9150 on May 2nd (with the elusive AMD card), got confirmation of my payment by check on the 16th, and haven't heard anything since.

What else would they do? The 7970M is not available, your notebook is not available, it has not been sent to XoticPC yet...

Just give them a call, there is likely nothing to report. Clevo is working with AMD to resolve the quality control issues.

Xotic said that they sent emails to almost everyone that had the 7970m upgrade. Are you guys not getting the emails or are you ignoring them/not checking your inbox?

I got an email in regards to the 7970M -

    "
We wanted to inform you that the HD 7970M incoming shipments are currently being allocated. We ask that you please allow 24-72 Hours for processing, and you will be contacted by a member of the Xotic PC processing team. After processing production times are estimated at 4-9 business days. Thank you again for your patience during your wait for this new GPU. "

That was on the 16th, no further communication on the matter. Is this the email that was put out?

No the one people are talking about said:

"We regret to inform you that a problem has been discovered with the 2nd batch of 7970M Graphics cards from AMD. Unfortunately AMD had a flaw in the manufacturing of the 2nd batch of cards that was not exhibited in the initial shipment. When we originally allocated you a card it was from the 2nd batch of cards that AMD has a flaw with. AMD is working aggressively on a fix. At this time we have been advised by AMD that the next shipment will be in on or around 6/11/12. We have orders ready to go into immediate production once the next shipment arrives. Please rest assured your order is in priority status and once the cards arrive we will be moving orders into the production queue immediately. Sager has priority allocation of these Graphics Cards from AMD and will ensure you the fastest shipment compared to any other Clevo vendor. In the event you prefer not to wait and change your GPU to a NVIDIA based GPU please contact Sales or Verifications and we can complete this change for you.

We deeply apologize to have to inform you of this news and thank you for your patience on waiting for the AMD 7970M."

Hmm. Didn't get it. Thinking part of the reason is because I haven't been allocated a GPU because I never confirmed the check image -- my wife's credit union doesn't have that service and I was in the field training at NTC for the last three weeks with no internet (no changes of clothing or showers either!). It said the payment would take 1-2 weeks to clear, today is day 14 from when I got the email saying the received the check, so maybe the payment is cleared and I can be allocated a card now -- probably like the fifth batch or so. I'm using a credit card next time I think, I ordered on May 2nd but because of the mail and check clearing I'm way behind in the queue.

We only sent that email to people who did get moved into phase 2 then found that the video card was part of the ones that needed to be sent back. It sounds like yours didnt reach phase 2 as it was waiting for the check to clear. You can PM me your order number and i'll be happy to look into where your order is.
