Hi, recently I purchased a Clevop150em from xoticpc back in early may. Everything went well with order, shipment, delivery etc etc. I suppose my concern is: I feel like the temperatures of the laptop has slowly increased since the day I had purchased it. I am aware that overtime electronics wear down and start to become more and more hot, but I just feel that two-three months is a pretty short period of time to see something. (It could just be my paranoia to see a difference) However, when i first purchased the laptop, under load it seemed the temps would NEVER go over 70C it would hardly even reach 60C which was okay to me. Now, it seems the temps hover at 70C+. After going through some forum posts and such, some people say 70 is dangerous for GPU's while others say 70 is perfectly fine, so there is my confusion. I basically have no idea what is a safe temperature, and why exactly do you feel my laptop temps have risen other than normal wear and tear? Do you think theres dust in the fans etc etc etc?

    Specs:
    Clevo p150em
    I7 processor
    nvidia 675MX
    8gb ram
    stock cooler

Ps, if it were the case that dust was building up and such, would the disasembly of the fan covers be difficult? I feel as though I might break something.

Oh I'm also curious as to why MSI afterburner has the fan's locked as well as the shader clock isnt present. Does the 675mx not have a shader clock?

    Thanks in advance :)

It ususally is dust in the fans and vents, especially if you see the temps creep up over time. A good cleaning every 6 months is a good rule of them. Open it up and blow out with a can of compressed air. Do hold the fans in place with a pencil or chop stick :) you dont want it to spin freely.
Ambient temps can also cause higher temps, being summer time that could also be a reason, but a cleaning never hurts. Doing so will not void a Sager warranty however any damage caused while doing so is not covered so just be careful.

70C is very good for a notebook 90C+ no so much.
