I'm interested in the NP9175. The M.2 drives have a lot of markup compared to what I can buy them for so I was planning to get it with a cheap drive and install M.2s myself, but Sager's site lists the M.2 as a factory option and the 2.5" drives as changeable.. I want to check that the M.2 modules are actually changeable and not permanently installed. I've changed the CPU and memory in my current laptop, so I think I could handle it if they are changeable.

    TIA

Changeable. Haven’t heard about Clevo laptops with soldered on ssd’s.

Where did you see that listed as a factory option? But yes, fully standard removable modules.

It's on the Sager site, under the Specifications section:

    Two changeable 2.5” HDD/SSD, 7mm(H) / 9.5mm(H), SATA interface (RAID 0/1 support)
(Factory Option) Two M.2 2280 SSD (RAID 0/1 support), SATA interface or PCIe Gen3 x4 interface

I couldn't really imagine them being soldered in, but the way it was worded left me a little uncertain.
