In todays high end mainstream i take it the x8100 is the only high end 18" monitor right and nothing ranks over it in terms of screen size and current gen tech.

The other thing i'm wondering is does it support dual 485m's ? if a power supply replacement is needed is there a model number i may look up that would be required to run it. input regarding in the matter will be great.

I've spent the last week looking into that, the answer is: no BIOS support and there won't be any.

im not sure about the 470 and this can only be confirmed by one of the resellers.
in the uk at the moment you have the choice of:
    GTX 460M
    2 x GTX 460M sli
    Quadro 2800M
    Quadro 3800M

is the power supply adequate, i don't know how much of a difference the power is between the 470m and 485m but i take it if you could run it on sli 470m, then power wouldn't be an issue for the 485m and merely a bios update right?

it seems it can only do sli/crossfire with 75w gpu it doesn't have option to run sli/crossfire with 100w gpu however i think you can only have a single gtx485m if there is a bios support for the card

as i stated before you can get the x7200 if you want 485m sli or Ati 6970 crossfire do you have the x8100?

    Sorry for my English
