    im using the zalman-nc 2000

It fits the size of the laptop which is 17 inches i think but am curious, when i place sager 9260 on mat... the 4 vents that take in air are before the area where the cooler releases air. If i want to get better temp cooling should i place the laptop lower so that laptop cooler air actually goes in directly?

I know this sounds silly >_<

So basically, should i line up the 4 fan vents underneath the laptop to the laptop coolers main cool air out-take area rather than being above the area where the cool air exits?

yes and no... for super max performance of it, logically yes you should...
but i have the NC2000.. and i did that, it does not make much of a difference. Just put the laptop rite where its supposed to. It'll drop your temps by a lot.. TRUST me
in other words... no u dont have to line it up
