I was watching the video review done by xoticpc and it showed that there is no hard drive bay for the second hard drive.
So did any of you have troubles with the secondary hard drive falling off?
And for those who purchased the laptop without a second hard drive, was the hard drive slot completely empty or did it come with that plastic holder? Did you have any troubles adding a hard drive to that slot later?

    Thanks.

The bay is like the primary one on the P150EM, the cover holds the drive in place, the second non recessed screw is actually going into the drive, not the case.

It's okay, just watch another review or the same one once again and check out some pictures, that should give you a better overview :)

So the drive bay without screws has the drive slide into place.

When you put the cover down it is secured with two screws, one goes into the case, the other goes into the drive itself (part of the 2.5" HDD physical specifications means it has to have a screw hole there).

So the drive is still actually screwed down too.

So if I order an NP9170 without a 2nd hard drive, there would still be a hard drive tray I can use to put in my own? Or would I need to order one?

The hard drive bay will be inside the machine regardless of you purchasing another drive or not. It's standard with the machine itself.

Much like the screw for securing down an Msata drive in one shipped without one.
