Well, now that Montevina is finally out and I've compared enough configurations and pricing, I'm sort of leaning toward the 9262. However, I have a few questions that are preventing me from pulling the trigger.

    1. Does it...bother anyone that the USB ports are all on the right side? Doesn't it get in the way if you use an external mouse?

    2. How much difference would waiting for DDR3 RAM make? If I just go with 4 GB of DDR2, along with a quad-core processor, will it really matter?

    3. Would it be better to wait for SLI 9800 GTX, or just buy one now and get the other later? How much more would it cost?

    Thanks everyone. :)

    1. A little.... I wish they were back a bit.
    2. DDR3 will never be in the 9262 unless there is a MB update, the memory has different number of pins/layout. The difference is minimal in most cases.
    3. Buy one and upgrade it later to SLI, its easy to do. The cost should be the same as if you were going to buy it at the same time, it was with the 8800GTX and the sli upgrade kit.

    1. It doesn't bother me. I use an external mouse all the time.

    2. THB, not really. The price of the new ram vs the performance won't = up for a long time.

    3. Since the 9800M GTX's should be around the corner you might want to hold off and go with SLI 9800M GTX's. There are headaches involved with ANY SLI system. Read a bit and make an 'informed' choice. Expect around a 15-25% increase in a SLI 9800M GTX system v.s. a SLI 8800M GTX system. It might get better as the 9800 drivers mature, we've seen it before.
