I have a few questions. I am currently debating between the HP HDX16 and the np8662. I feel the np8662 wins in terms of value and performance, but in terms of quality, I do not know. I have been dealing with hp for seven years and have never had any hardware troubles.

-What is the build quality of Sager PCs? Will I be plagued with repair bills (even four years from now)?
    -How is their customer/warranty service?
-How does this all compare with hp (or any widely recognized manufacturer)?
-Will I be voiding warranty if I upgrade the memory by myself?
-What is the battery life of the np8662 (with and without the upgraded battery)?
-What is turbo memory and is it worth it?
-Where is the best place to get it? Xotic pc?

Sorry about asking so many questions at once, and thanks for any input.

please read the Clevo Guide if you havent yet.

Clevo high-end notebooks are made like business-class ones (like Elitebooks, Thinkpads).

My Clevo has lasted me for over 3 years now, near mint condition.

So the build is better than most mainstream notebooks.

And it will easily last if you take care of it:
    - clean out the vents/fans from dust regularly
    - monitor the temps (which tells you if you need to clean out the vents)
    - ONLY use on clean, hard, flat surfaces ... recommend a good notebook cooler
    - NEVER use on soft surfaces (laps, beds, pillows, couches, etc.) or you will block the vents/fan from getting proper airflow

Great if you go through a reseller like Powernotebooks, XoticPC, or PCtorque.

    please read this:
What is the best notebook/laptop brand? .... Exposed.

These notebooks are made to give the user full access to all components for self upgrades... including the videocard. :)

    Theres only one battery option.

It gets about 2-2.5 hours if you set it on Silent Mode

Not worth it if you have more than 2GB of RAM configured

It is one of the best vendors that are recommended here on NBR.

    Thanks!

Are there any higher capacity batteries available for this model?
