Ok so i had almost decided on the 8662 when this new beast got thrown into the mix. I see that it is sporting the new processors which i like and the incredibly strong 280m gtx. anyways here are my questions regarding this thing:

    1) anyone know how much battery life can be expected when this thing is running in power saver mode and with a dimmed display?

    2) if you don't get all 3 hard drives does the weight of the system go down? or is it stock 11.5 lbs and the additional hard drives add to that?

3)how loud is this thing running on full blast? and on power saver mode?

Thanks guys i appreciate it :)

I would suspect, The battery life will take a hit due to the desktop processor, the weight they say is the absolute lowest so it will go up, and It's probably got a very good cooling system so not too bad... I would also suggest you take a look at the Sager NP5797 which you can also get through www.Xoticpc.com it has the GTX 280m as well and you'll se almost the same gaming performance out of it, at a lower weight and cost (you can upgrade this the the x9300 quad processor which is best for laptops yet)

No one has received this laptop yet!
However, I think it will outperformed its brother, the sager9262.
Battery life concern, I think 1 hours max, corei7 is hunger. that's why we cant have SLI with it.
Weight concern: does it matter??? you already carry 12lbs, adding 2 more HDD shouldnt make you fell much heavier lolz.
Noise concern: from what I have read in this forum, it should not be too loud.

From the looks of the thing, there might was well not be a battery :p for all the time it will last you.
I think that weight quoted will be at stock and not when fully equipped. This thing isnt a laptop... it really isnt... its like a mobile microwave oven that can you can play crysis on while waiting or dinner to warm up which should take like 5 seconds ;)
