Cool. Regarding windows read few people were able to get desktops to run it. Depends i think on if motherboard manufacture can provide compatible drivers/support for it

You should be able to install it but are likely going to run into USB driver issues and it's not officially supported by anyone at this point.

Pad diagram would be nice, but I doubt we will get one from the re sellers. I just ordered a handful of Gelid pads, so I'll be repadding my machine in the coming weeks. I'll take some pics while opening her up.

@Mr. Fox has made a Win7 dvd.iso with all the drivers needed for Coffe Lake. Maybe that will work...

Would be great but i believe its for his desktop build and perhaps he has suitable drivers for his mb. Since looks like clevo doesnt supports win7 coffee lake maybe best i give up that idea and go with 10 . Last thing i want is usb driver issues. And about the thermal pads hopefully one of the resellers will chime in and help
    Thanks

I've not done a pad diagram on that model, no. Usually a 1mm pad and a 0.5mm pad together using stacking where needed covers you. Don't worry about replacing the thickest pads as they are usually pretty robust and squishy.
